Editorial policy
How this site is written, how claims are checked, how it is paid for, what we refuse to publish, and what happens when we get something wrong.
Who writes here
Everything published on radovian.online is written and signed by Emma Garcia, who is the responsible editor and director of publication for C O R E C T spol. s r.o.. Where an article is written by somebody else, that person is credited by name on the page. We do not publish anonymous articles, and we do not publish material supplied by an advertiser under our own byline.
Every article carries a publication date and, where it has been revised, a review date. If you are reading a page with an old review date, treat its factual details with corresponding caution and check the vendor’s own site.
How facts are established
- Primary sources first. For what a product does, its price, its plan structure or its terms, the vendor’s own site and terms are the authority, and we say so on the page.
- Independent measurement for effectiveness. Where protection quality or performance impact is discussed, we point readers to independent testing laboratories such as AV-Comparatives and AV-TEST rather than repeating a vendor’s own claim.
- Documented technical behaviour. Statements about how operating systems work are sourced from the platform vendor’s documentation.
- Named sources on the page. Articles carry a sources section listing what was consulted, so a reader can check us.
- Hedge rather than invent. If we cannot establish a figure, we do not print a figure. An article that says “this depends on your machine” is telling you the truth; one that gives you a confident number it cannot support is not.
How the site is funded
radovian.online has one source of income: affiliate commission. When a reader follows a link marked partner link and subsequently subscribes to the product, the vendor pays a commission through an affiliate network. Readers pay the vendor’s normal price; nothing is added for the commission.
We take no money from readers, sell no data, run no advertising network, and publish no sponsored posts written by anyone else. The affiliate disclosure sets this out in detail, with a diagram of the money flow.
Advertiser independence
- No advertiser, network or agency sees an article before it is published.
- No advertiser has the right to approve wording, to remove a criticism, or to require a rating.
- Commission rates play no part in what we recommend or in how prominently something is placed.
- Drawbacks stay on the page. If we would not tell a friend to buy something, we do not tell a reader to buy it either.
- Where a free or built-in alternative does the job, we say so, even though saying so costs us money. The main article on this site tells readers that Windows and macOS already include malware protection.
What we will not do
These are commitments, not aspirations. If you find us breaking one, write to us and we will correct it.
- No invented testimonials. We publish no “reader stories”, customer quotes or user reviews that we did not receive from a real, identifiable person who agreed to publication. This site currently publishes none at all.
- No invented ratings. No star scores, no “9.4/10”, no league tables assembled from nothing. We do not run a testing laboratory, so we do not pretend to score products as though we did.
- No fabricated statistics. No percentages, gigabyte figures or timings unless we can name where they come from. See the correction log on the main article for figures we removed for exactly this reason.
- No artificial urgency. No countdown timers, no “offer ends tonight”, no “only 3 licences left”, no fake stock counters.
- No guaranteed results. We do not promise that a product will make your computer fast, keep you safe, or save you money. We explain what it does and what it does not do.
- No scare tactics. No fake virus warnings, no invented threat counts, no claim that an unprotected computer is certain to be infected.
- No impersonation. We never present ourselves as a vendor, a security authority, a news organisation or a government body, and we never imply an endorsement we do not have.
- No hidden commercial links. Every commercial link is marked in the text you can see, not only in the HTML.
Use of software tools
Drafting and editing tools, including automated ones, may be used in producing articles. Responsibility does not transfer: Emma Garcia reads, checks and signs every page before publication, and any error is ours rather than a tool’s.
Corrections procedure
- Write to info@radovian.online with the page address and what you believe is wrong. Evidence helps but is not required.
- We acknowledge within five working days.
- We check the claim against primary sources.
- A factual error is corrected immediately once confirmed, and the review date on the page is updated.
- A substantive correction is disclosed on the page itself, not made silently. The main article carries a table of the claims we removed when it was rewritten, which is what that commitment looks like in practice.
- Typographical fixes are made without a note.
- If we conclude the page was right, we tell you why.
If an article can no longer be corrected into something accurate, we withdraw it rather than leave it up.
Images and diagrams
Every illustration on this site is an original SVG diagram drawn for the article it appears in. We use no stock photography, no product screenshots and no third-party artwork, both to avoid trademark and copyright problems on a commercially funded page and because a diagram explains a mechanism better than a photograph of a laptop. Each diagram carries a title, a description for assistive technology, real alternative text and a caption. Where a diagram is illustrative rather than measured, the caption says so.
Reader privacy
We do not need to know who you are in order to publish an article, so we do not find out. No cookies, no analytics, no pixels, no third-party scripts, no fonts loaded from someone else’s server. The cookie policy explains how to verify that in your own browser in about a minute.
